In May of 2023, we enjoyed the luxury of a week at Jewel Grande! There are no shortages of all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica. When you combine the natural beauty of the island with luxurious accommodations, you truly cannot go wrong. So how do you decide which all-inclusive resort is for you?
As I was looking for our resort, I was truly interested in learning where I can stay to get the most bang for my buck. I was specifically looking for a resort that offered all the bells and whistles. That first and foremost included a room that had a beautiful view of the ocean. I truly wanted to spend my mornings on my balcony, sipping my morning coffee or enjoying my breakfast while overlooking the gorgeous waters. Secondly, I wanted a place that had an all-inclusive option so I could enjoy all the food I wanted! I’m talking, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinks, and anything else my heart desired! I wanted several options outside of one restaurant or one buffet. I was also looking for a resort with included activities, that offered excursions, and room service. I truly wanted the full spectrum of amenities during our relaxing Caribbean getaway.
So, if that all sounds like something you would like in your trip to Jamacia then we are on the same wavelength. Let me point you in the right direction… and that direction is Jewel Grande in Montego Bay! Y’all, look how beautiful this place truly is!
Jewel Grande is impressive for the price. I compared prices of several all-inclusive resorts in conjunction with amenities offered and found that the best price with all the amenities was Jewel Grande. Plus you can get even more savings when you book direct with the resort. This includes 15% off spa services, 10% off excursions, 10% off cabanas, and 10% off romantic dinners.
To start, our room was gorgeous. We elected to get the oceanfront junior suite which offered a huge balcony overlooking the ocean. The room itself was spacious with the bathroom being just as big as the bedroom itself! We enjoyed the stocked mini fridge which was continuously restocked every day. They do offer many other more luxurious suites, but we felt that the suite we decided on offered all we desired. There are also less luxurious rooms for a smaller price.
Upon arrival at Jewel Grande, you instantly began to feel the luxury. We were offered a welcome beverage upon check-in. The staff absolutely refused to allow us to carry our own bags from the second we were picked up from the airport. (Note: we did elect to have an airport transfer from the hotel which was an additional cost. However, the cost was well worth it to have a transfer to and from the airport when we left.) We were called “VIPS” during our check-in and were driven to our room from the main check-in area. We were shown directly to our room and our bags were packed up for us. Overall, the staff was always generous and helpful without ever feeling pushy for tips. This doesn’t mean do not tip your staff! Always come prepared to tip staff, especially those who go out of their way to make your stay better.
So what else is included? Jewel Grande actually offers different packages which range from all-inclusive to breakfast only. We obviously elected the all-inclusive and that’s the information we will be sharing with you! All-inclusive includes a butler service, full-service spa, two huge swimming pools, hot tubs, unlimited alcohol, unlimited food, Wi-Fi, non-motorized water sports, a fitness facility, and access to the beach with included beach chairs. You do have to pay more for beachside cabanas.
There are so many restaurant options including two grills, a buffet, a teppanyaki-style restaurant, a steakhouse, seafood, and Italian. That’s a lot of options and we truly enjoyed every single one! Our favorites included the Italian and teppanyaki-style restaurants. The grills and buffet were perfect for lunch during the day! In addition, they also have two different coffee shops as well as a place for sweets! For an additional cost, you can also plan a romantic dinner. We saw a few of these throughout our stay and they always looked so gorgeous!
Regarding nonmotorized water activities, they offer kayaking and paddle boarding daily! We elected to go kayaking and enjoyed the view of the resort from the waters we kayaked on. If you are looking to be more adventurous, you can schedule an excursion through the resort as well for an additional cost. We elected to do this on one day of our trip and we were so glad we did. We got to see so much of the local life on the island and had some amazing experiences! While we are super excited to share our excursion, we will be sharing this in another blog so stay tuned!
