Nestled in the heart of the Florida Keys, you’ll find the Reefhouse Resort located in Key Largo. The Reefhouse Resort encompasses everything you think of when you think of the Florida Keys. The soft white sands, beautiful sunsets, clear blue waters, and island vibes.
It truly feels like paradise.
We stayed at the Reefhouse Resort in May of 2023. It was the perfect place to unwind during my Spring break from graduate school. The resort is a prime location in the Florida Keys as there are tons of activities, excursions, beaches, restaurants, and experiences nearby. Plus, it makes for an easy day trip to Key West. Stay tuned for a blog about our personal opinions on Key West. We also were able to check out Everglades and Biscayne National Park which have separate blogs already posted! Upon arrival, we were welcomed with refreshments which included juice and freshly baked cookies. We were also given a welcome gift which included two glasses and a bottle of prosecco. Bracelets serve as the room key and your admittance to the pool and beach area.
Our room exceeded our expectations. The king-size bed was quite comfortable, and we found that the room had more than enough space for the two of us. The suite was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Below our balcony, we had a view of the ocean and the pools. One of our favorite inclusions was the Nespresso machine which was promptly refilled with items each day. We enjoyed an early morning coffee with views of the keys right from our room.
The beach area has seating and umbrellas which are included in your stay. Of course, cabanas are offered at an additional cost. We found that we were the first to arrive on the beach every morning and it was quite pleasant to enjoy the beach area all alone. The beach itself was beautiful and had several palm trees offering shade.
As the day progressed, we enjoyed the hammocks as well as the cornhole boards set up on the beach. The pool was also spacious, and we enjoyed swimming a few laps. In addition to the pool, there is also a hot tub. You will find a bar located next to the pool that serves free refreshment drinks as well as alcohol and lunch for an additional cost. There is also a restaurant on site that serves lunch and dinner. After eating all that scrumptious seafood, you can hit the gym which is relatively large and included in your stay.
Bonus: Our Favorite Places to Eat
Three places stand out to us, and we highly recommend visiting these places. The first of which is The Fish House which was our date night on this trip. The food was spectacular and despite being so busy, the staff were very pleasant.
The second place we truly enjoyed was the Pinecrest Bakery. There were a few times we wanted to order things to go to enjoy from the comfort of our room or our balcony. Pinecrest was such a pleasant surprise that we went back for more!
Lastly, but most definitely not least, the Tacos Jalisco food truck. We promise you will not regret it. My mouth is watering while writing this blog just thinking about the food there!
